Eight questions about a task. The answers say whether it needs a fixed workflow, a workflow with one AI step, or an agent.
Each answer scores 0, 1 or 2. A 0 means the steps never change. A 2 means the next step depends on something the system has to notice first.

Each answer scores 0, 1, or 2, so the total runs from 0 to 16. A total of 0 to 5 means a workflow. 6 to 11 means a workflow with one AI step. 12 to 16 means an agent.
The three lines under the result are the answers that pushed hardest toward it. For a workflow, those are your lowest-scoring answers. Otherwise they are your highest.
The score says nothing about cost, accuracy, or whether the tools you need exist. And if a mistake would be expensive, a person should still check any step that is hard to undo, whatever the score.
