AI Conferences and Meetups: Organizer Calendars for Builders

This is a list of eight places to find AI events for people who build: big conferences, framework meetups, local groups and research conferences. Start with the organizer's own calendar, then pick an event by what you want to walk away with.
It isn't a ticket list, and nothing here promises that registration is open.

Find a local or online session
For something local, open the MLOps Community city index, pick your city and follow its organizer link. When checked, the Austin and New York links led to AAIF Austin and AAIF New York. Check the name on the calendar you land on. An old label on a directory doesn't prove the same people still run the group.
For a framework meetup, use the LangChain calendar linked from its official community page. For remote practice, browse DataTalks.Club workshops. Pick one with an exercise or recording you can follow, and check its setup steps before you join.
Hugging Face Builders is a program for finding or organizing local activity. Its program page isn't a full event schedule.
Bring one concrete question: an evaluation that failed, a deployment tradeoff, or a small example you can explain. You'll get more out of a meetup that way than by showing up with a general wish to learn more about AI.
Keep past events separate from upcoming ones
Organizer homepages move on to the next edition early. As checked on September 17, 2026, MLSys and ICLR already promote 2027, while NeurIPS lists its December 2026 program. MLSys has 2026 proceedings, but says those session recordings aren't available. Papers and videos are different things.
Calendar headings can lag behind too. DataTalks.Club still listed a September 15 session under Upcoming, next to a November 2 session. Read the actual date, time zone and registration page, not the heading.
The notes on each entry say what was checked and what's still uncertain. They don't promise tickets, or that a local meetup will keep meeting.
Before you spend time or travel money, check the date, time zone, venue, cancellation policy and prerequisites, and whether a recording would do the job. For a remote option, use the AI YouTube directory and work through one exercise yourself.
