This is a list of eight places to find AI events for people who build: big conferences, framework meetups, local groups and research conferences. Start with the organizer's own calendar, then pick an event by what you want to walk away with.
It isn't a ticket list, and nothing here promises that registration is open.

The organizer lists upcoming 2026 events in New York and San Francisco and 2027 editions in London and San Francisco. Its broader meetup program is announced for Q4 2026, not evidence of an active chapter in every city.

The official page links a shared calendar, individual Luma registrations and past recordings. It lists GraphRAG for November 2, 2026, but also retains September 15 under Upcoming; compare every date with today.
Meet people building with open models through the Builders program, which describes city chapters, workshops and hackathons. Find a dated event near you before you make plans, because the program page doesn't list one.
The hf-builders program card describes global city chapters and organizer support. This replaces the old Events organization page; the program card alone does not establish an upcoming event in a particular city.
Worth a look if your questions are about serving models, training systems or infrastructure tradeoffs. Read the program and past papers to see if it fits your work.
The homepage has rolled over to MLSys 2027 in Bellevue, with dates still to come. It links the 2026 proceedings and reports that 2026 session recordings are unavailable.
Go for the workshops and tutorials, where the research talk is focused. The main conference covers far more than building applications.
The organizer lists the 2026 Sydney main conference for December 6–12 and Atlanta and Paris satellite events for December 9–13. These are distinct programs; consult the selected edition.
Look for the workshops, papers and tutorials closest to the problem you're working on. Judge two things separately: whether the research is relevant, and whether the workshop format is practical for you.
The homepage now advertises April 26–30, 2027 in California. Registration is closed and detailed venue information is still pending. The 2026 edition is linked separately.

Find a local or online session
For something local, open the MLOps Community city index, pick your city and follow its organizer link. When checked, the Austin and New York links led to AAIF Austin and AAIF New York. Check the name on the calendar you land on. An old label on a directory doesn't prove the same people still run the group.
For a framework meetup, use the LangChain calendar linked from its official community page. For remote practice, browse DataTalks.Club workshops. Pick one with an exercise or recording you can follow, and check its setup steps before you join.
Hugging Face Builders is a program for finding or organizing local activity. Its program page isn't a full event schedule.
Bring one concrete question: an evaluation that failed, a deployment tradeoff, or a small example you can explain. You'll get more out of a meetup that way than by showing up with a general wish to learn more about AI.
Keep past events separate from upcoming ones
Organizer homepages move on to the next edition early. As checked on September 17, 2026, MLSys and ICLR already promote 2027, while NeurIPS lists its December 2026 program. MLSys has 2026 proceedings, but says those session recordings aren't available. Papers and videos are different things.
Calendar headings can lag behind too. DataTalks.Club still listed a September 15 session under Upcoming, next to a November 2 session. Read the actual date, time zone and registration page, not the heading.
The notes on each entry say what was checked and what's still uncertain. They don't promise tickets, or that a local meetup will keep meeting.
Before you spend time or travel money, check the date, time zone, venue, cancellation policy and prerequisites, and whether a recording would do the job. For a remote option, use the AI YouTube directory and work through one exercise yourself.
